It’s slow going for me ( not because of the book - I’m enjoying the hell out of the book) It’s my lack of free time as chief cook, bottle washer, nursemaid, laundress and yard boy, etc. Haven’t sat down with a book, even an entertaining novel, since 2013. Litigator is a good read, especially because as a former trial attorney I can relate to the manipulation of the justice system thru my experience with “command influence” in military courts, and I agree with the concept of interconnected human consciousness affecting trials, at least criminal trials, ( jury nullification despite overwhelming prosecution evidence.) Still, I’m only on chapter 5, so it’ll be a while till I finish.

I’m driven to study politics, but I might have found this book heavy if it hadn’t also included his spiritual path, how a very successful lawyer used meditation to achieve results and stay centered. That part was eye-opening for me, and I’m already thinking of practical ways to apply it in my own life. His writing held my attention most of the way through, which is unusual for me. Only about one out of ten books I buy makes me look forward to the next quiet moment so I can keep reading. Five stars, Mr. Flynn, looking forward to Litigator 2.
